Here are replies to question we are often asked :

  • 1. Do you have a lift ?

Yes, there is a lift from the ground floor to the 5th floor.
At night the lift is only accessible from the first floor, except for disabled guests, who can still gain access from the ground floor.


  • 2. Can bank details be sent on a secure internet site ?

Yes. Use the link BOOK NOW on our website, you will find our on-line booking system.


  • 3. Can a booking be made on a On line Travel Agency (OTA) website ?

Yes, but we suggest you to book straight to the hotel because the OTAs take 17-25% commission. It will be always cheaper if you book through our website. In addition the OTAs websites registered out of France, who take the commission while avoiding paying VAT and other taxes in France.


  • 4. What makes the hotel Nautilus different ?

Nothing, it’s simply good value for money and we reserve a personal welcome for all our guests. We have created a « cosy » and colourful atmosphere where we hope our guests feel at home.


  • 5. Is there a sea view ?

No, the hotel is within the walled city, in one of St Malo’s narrow streets. The sea is 50 meters away. Sea view hotels can’t compete with our low prices.


  • 6. Are the showers small ?

Yes and no. The smallest are 80cmx80cm, most are 80cmX80cm, others 70cm X90cm and some 80cmX110cm. We advise guests in need of the larger showers to inform us at the time of booking.


  • 7. Do you have baths ?

No, we have installed showers for ecological and economical reasons. The bathrooms are not very big but offer all the required comforts. Certain rooms are equipped with showers for disabled or very large guests. Please inform us of your needs when booking.


  • 8. Do we have to take breakfast at the hotel ?

No, breakfasts are an additional service offered to our guests. Each day you may inform us that you wish to take breakfast the following morning, at the hotel.


  • 9. Is there a hairdryer in the bathroom ?

Yes, there is a 2000 W hairdryer. We also have more powerful ones on request.


  • 10. Are there always parkings places available ?

The hotel has no reserved parking places. However, there is a car park 50m from the hotel. Other car parks are 200m away. Parking is only free at night. The hotel has a locked garage for motor bikes and cycles.


  • 11. Is Wifi free in the rooms ?

Yes, Wi-Fi is free. It works throughout the hotel. If you are unable to connect to Wi-Fi for any reason with your material, you can use a computer in the hotel lobby. We never intervene on our guests computers.


  • 12. Is the hotel manned at night time ?

Yes, a member of staff sleeps at the hotel, if needs be, you can contact him throughout the night. The Hotel reception desk closes at 8pm, however, in an emergency someone is always on call.


  • 13.What bedding have you ?

The bedding has slat bases and latex foam mattresses « Bultex », quite firm, big duvets and anti allergy style pillows.
